What determines the cost?
A .LY domain can involve registration, renewal, transfer, and recovery charges. The amount depends on the namespace, term, currency, taxes, and current service pricing. Check the live Register.ly pricing page or checkout before approving a budget.
Registration price
This covers creation for the selected term after approval. A search result does not guarantee final approval; restricted or short names can require review.
Renewal price
Renewal keeps the existing registration active. It may differ from the initial price. Review the next due date and renew early.
Transfer price
A transfer moves registrar management. The current checkout explains whether the fee extends the term. Expired, locked or reviewed domains may not be eligible.
Recovery price
Redemption can cost more than ordinary renewal. The current .LY lifecycle guide (https://register.ly/ly-domains-guide/) describes up to 45 days of expiration, 30 days of redemption, and five days pending deletion.
